Calvin Klein of a Website (Finally!)

Letter Learning's Newest Look!

I feel like my website is like my closet, or more realistically, like what I’d LOVE my closet to be in a perfect, dream world. Until now, every couple of months, it (the website) has gotten a major overhaul – you know, “out with the old” and “in with the new”.  Well, I think I finally have the Calvin Klein of websites going — i.e., something timeless and dependable that goes with everything and won’t have to be changed every 4 months.  I’ve recently switched host providers and am trying out 3DCart.  So far, I love them.  The customer service has been wonderful and the features, oh, the features!  I am not offering downloadable e-cards offered at a severely discounted price ($0.99) which is not only a steal of a deal, but allows people the freedom to print our cards from the convenience of their own homes.  We also have super fun backend features that will help me stay organized in the midst of a 10 month old who likes to eat, tear, shred and crumple any paper she can get her hands on.

Other big news includes our debut on http://www.EmilyKateBaby.com  This boutique has some of the cutest baby stuff and now carries our cards!  What an honor.  I’m also talking to some group coupon-type organizations to see if we can send out a huge deal to their subscribers to help get the word out on Letter Learning’s cards.

Some of the other amazing, low-cost ways I’ve had success getting publicity are below.  Keep track, and let me know what I’m missing.

– Twitter (http://www.twitter.com) – no brainer.  So easy, so free and so much fun to get retweeted! 🙂

– Facebook (http://www.facebook.com) – I just set up a business account linked to my personal account and voila – not LL has a facebook page!

– HARO (http://www.helpareporter.com) – Holy cow! This one is awesome! It’s a meeting place between reporters and people who have something to say.  Reporters request subjects for their stories and people like us reply with our pitch.  If it’s a match, it’s gold.

– LinkedIn (http://www.linkedin.com) – SO invaluable!  There are groups of people just dying to give you solid, valuable, actually amazing advice.  Just join the group that fits your needs and start networking.  Start a discussion, ask people to connect with you and before you know it, you have amazing people right at your fingertips!

So, my question for you, Moms, Dads, business owners, and anyone else who might be reading this, what else has worked for you to get word out on your company?  What is the biggest bang for your PR buck?  I’m assuming I’m not the only one starting a company using the pennies I find in the couch cushions, right? Right?
